First Responders Foundation Programs
First Responders Support Team (FRST)
A team of specially trained clinicians supporting the behavioral health of first responders. FRST offers peer and spouse support groups, mental and emotional health services and more to first responders and their families.
JAVELAN
A service dog program for retired first responders and veterans that utilized rescue dogs as often as possible. The JAVELAN program provides funding for service dogs and training.
Physical Health / Fitness
Holistic group fitness and wellness programs specifically designed to recognize, address, and overcome issues related to physical and emotional wellbeing of first responders, veterans and their families.
National Society of St. Florian and St. Michael
Support for first responders in law enforcement who put their lives on the line for us each and every day to make communities better, safer places to live.
Support Blue
Support for first responders in law enforcement who put their lives on the line for us each and every day to make communities better, safer places to live.
Home Safety Program
An initiative to prevent in-home tragedies and keep our community safe. The Foundation partners with local fire departments to provide and install free smoke and carbon monoxide detectors for those in need.
Awards of Excellence
Awards of Excellence are presented annual to outstanding high school seniors who are children of first responders.
Animal Heroes
The Foundation is proud to support K-9 Units, Arson Dogs and Mounted Patrol. These hard working animal heroes make a vital impact on the community and are indispensable to first responders.
Tri-County Fire Corps
The Foundation supports the Tri-County Fire Corp where youth have the opportunity to learn the skills necessary for a career in firefighting.
Masks for Many
The First Responders Foundation is partnering with the Omaha Fire Department and the Omaha Police Department to support the Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) and the Douglas County Health Departments “Masks for Many” Project.
Support Red
Support for first responders in fire services, including firefighters and EMT’s, who are there to respond when needed, 365 days a year, for fires, medical emergencies and more.
