Volunteer GroupVolunteers are an essential part of the First Responders Foundation. Volunteers are needed to work booths at events, help pack and deliver Appreciation Lunches for first responders, help with special projects, assist with fundraising, help at the new facility, and many other areas.

As a social impact organization with a small staff, we rely on volunteers to keep the wheels of our events/programs moving forward. If you’re looking for an impactful way to give back to first responders in your community, the First Responders Foundation is looking for you!

Honor or Remember a First ResponderHonor or Remember a First Responder & Memorial Giving

Celebrate the service of a First Responder, friend, or loved one by making a donation to the First Responders Foundation in their name. We will send notification of your gift to the honoree or family. Please send a note with your gift, if you wish, specifying the honoree’s name and address or contact information for his or her family. If you have any questions or need more information, please contact us for assistance.

Nominate a First Responder for the National Society of Saint Florian and Saint Michael

For first responders who have demonstrated the highest standards of integrity, bravery, honor and moral character. St. Michael is the patron saint of police officers and St. Florian the patron saint of firefighters.

Every month each Hy-Vee store in the Omaha, NE metro area selects a nonprofit as the recipient of the proceeds from the sale of the Hy-Vee reusable shopping bags. Several times each year the First Responders Foundation is selected as the nonprofit receiving these funds. Check with your local Hy-Vee store.

FRF Community PartnerBecome a Community Partner/Sponsor a Special Event

Make a financial contribution to the Foundation in honor of an employee, client, vendor or customer.

Donate a Percentage of Sales

  • Show your customers you care about public safety and help drive your sales by donating a percentage of profits from your products, services, events, or auctions to the Foundation.
  • Host a Golf Tournament, a Poker Run or other community event and donate the proceeds to the Foundation. You must receive approval from the First Responders Foundation before engaging in any third-party fundraising activity.

2020 CARES Act CARES Act 2020 Charitable Giving Incentive

The CARES Act allows for an additional, “above-the-line” deduction for charitable gifts made in cash of up to $300. If you are not itemizing on your 2020 taxes, you can claim this new deduction.
