The First Responders Foundation welcomes Mike Corrigan, to the Board of Directors, as the new treasurer of the board. Mike is the VP Commercial Relationship Manager with Access Bank. Mike has been with Access for five years and works with new and existing commercial businesses. The Foundation has been banking with Access for more than a year and finds them extremely helpful and engaging. The Foundation is pleased to have Mike’s expertise on the board and looks forward to working with him for more than one reason. Mike is uniquely qualified for this position because not only does he bring financial expertise to the board, he is also a first responder.
New Board Treasurer, Mike Corrigan
Mike is currently a part-time police officer in Yutan, NE, and is a former police sergeant at the Bellevue Police Department. Mike shared with us, “Ever since I left full-time as a police officer, I have been wanting to get involved in an organization that supports law enforcement and all first responders. I had the opportunity to speak with Al Batschelet, CEO and President of FRF, and hear about the mission of the Foundation. I immediately wanted to be a part of the organization by either volunteering, donating, and/or being part of the board. Then I was honored to accept the position on the board as the Treasurer, and am excited to become even more involved with this great organization. I have had an amazing experience working as a police officer, but I also know firsthand there can be struggles that come along with the job from all different angles. Having the opportunity to be a part of an organization where we can honor the men and women who are first responders and assist the front line in so many different ways is exactly the team I want to be part of. I know the sacrifices that are made daily, and any support or resources our team and foundation can give goes a long way.”
Omaha, Nebraska
Mike grew up in the Omaha area attending Creighton Preparatory High School and then the University of Nebraska Omaha. From there he attended the Nebraska Law Enforcement Training Academy. Mike made the switch to banking in 2015 to work with family and has worked in various departments from credit underwriting, portfolio management, to his current position in commercial relationship management.
In his spare time, Mike enjoys all things outdoors from fishing and hunting to biking and camping. Again, we welcome Mike to the First Responders Foundation.
